Father-Daughter Time

Tuesday, December 27, 2011: Dad and I went out for delicious lunch at Foster’s in Chapel Hill today! Delicious soup and warm biscuit. Then we went off to Durham to wander around, intending to go to a neat boutique, but it was closed! And will be until early January. So we changed our plans and went and walked around Southpoint Mall. It was very busy! But we had a nice time just wandering around together. Thanks for a great afternoon together, Dad!

Then Mom and I went to have mother-daughter time with Jena and her mom and watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2!!! Movie marathon!!! With several intermissions to snack and talk and laugh and kibitz.

Mischief Managed

Friday, July 15, 2011: Today was the day that we’ve all been waiting for – the release of the Deathly Hallows Part 2. After a week full of anticipation and much movie-watching we finally saw the epic end of the movie series. And yet, the story shall live on forever in the hearts of those who love Harry Potter and all of the witches and wizards. Having been one of “those [AWESOME] kids” who grew up with Harry Potter, I will always love Harry. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

Potter Marathon Night 4

Monday, July 11, 2011: Our Harry Potter movie marathon continued today with the Order of the Phoenix. We doubled up yesterday in order to be on schedule for a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 party on Wednesday night!!! Due to scheduling we may just have to watch that one twice.

losing my mind

I’m pretty sure, as the saying goes, that I would lose my own head if it wasn’t attached. Allow me to update y’all.

Wednesday, July 6, 2011: This is what I-40 East looks like when it’s getting closer and closer to my exit to go home. Another quick trip up to Asheville and back.

Thursday, July 7, 2011: Jumping Cow Amber Ale! Found at trusty Trader Joe’s. Gotta love it!

Friday, July 8, 2011: Tonight begins the re-watching of ALL of the Harry Potter movies. Seeing as the final final final movie comes out NEXT FRIDAY PEOPLE it seemed only fitting to begin a movie marathon with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I’ll try not to embarrass myself too much with my extreme love of Harry Potter.
