Some catching up to do

I feel like I have some catching up to do. It’s been quite a long time since I was blogging regularly and I miss it.

Here goes! Let’s see – in the last year I planned a trip to Paris with my grandmother, went on said trip to Paris over my Spring Break, planned a trip to Barcelona and Madrid with my mom, went on said trip at the beginning of summer break, planned the most amazing wedding with my now husband, Scott, started a new position at my school as Administrative Assistant, traveled to Massachusetts for our most amazing wedding, Mini-Moon-ed in Maine, and moved to a new house! Oh, and I took a French class and a Spanish class at the beginning of the year along with planning said trips. Here are some photos of aforementioned adventures:Grandma and Adrianne in Giverny Engagement photo by Leigh McLindenPam and Adrianne at Montserrat DSC_0443Wedding Planning at Friendly Crossways Sam Adams Brewery Our wedding shower Marriage License Just married! We don’t share any walls with anyone, we have a front yard and a backyard, and we have our own driveway. It’s definitely bigger than our apartment was, which makes it so that we actually have places for all of our things. A place for everything and everything in its place. (Credit where credit is due if that’s some individual’s quote.) Our kitchen is brilliant. It’s an eat in kitchen with a giant (very heavy) table so there’s room for hanging out and cooking and no one gets in anyone’s way. There’s a beautiful view of the mountains and we can tell that it will be absolutely lovely come spring time. We have at least three dogwoods … I’m so excited!!! And we can hardly wait to see what else pops up. The two bird feeders that hang outside our bay window are quite popular with the birds. We have a lengthy list of birds that we’ve seen from our window! And of course, a few squirrels.

Married life is wonderful. I’ve been adjusting to my new name and I love it. Otherwise it’s business as usual in the Anderson household. We often sit around fondly recalling moments from our wedding – it was the best – and being thankful for our beautiful new home. So here’s to all of the adventures that await in 2015!

The summer that flew by

That’s how this summer was. Has been. Whatever it is now that it’s September. At any rate, it absolutely flew by! In the blink of an eye. I miss writing and blogging and sharing so here’s a little catching up. Since my last post I have:

1. Finished another year of being an assistant teacher.

2. Switched jobs to work in the office as administrative assistant.

3. Spent two phenomenal weeks traveling in España with my wonderful mom. We flew into Barcelona and met up in baggage claim after a year apart. Suddenly, as I was walking toward baggage claim, I heard someone running toward me and looked over and there was my mom! I took off toward her and we crashed into a huge hug in the middle of baggage claim. It was epic.
