My Valentine Snow Storm

His and hers Hondas

So we had some snow.

And it was lovely! We got about 8 inches and it was marvelous! I had three snow days, one of them with Scott too. We had so much fun walking around and taking in all the beautiful snow. It really is so pretty when everything is covered in a fresh blanket of snow!

On Thursday we decided to go out! My yankee fiancé wanted to go drive around in the snow … and it turned out that most of the roads were already plowed. We decided to turn our adventure into our Valentine’s Date!

Valentines Date 2014

Feeling like we won Valentine’s Day this year. We rather spontaneously went out the night before Valentine’s Day. It also happened to be the day after the biggest snow storm Asheville has seen in many years! We drove through the Biltmore Estate because it’s beautiful, and even more beautiful covered in snow.

Then we made our way downtown – most of the roads were already plowed and the parking garages were all free! We went out for dinner at Wicked Weed and had some delicious brews. Then we walked around the snow covered city and found ourselves at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge. We were two of a few folks there and it was so gloriously quiet. There was no line and we had a delicious raspberry creme brûlée!

It was such a fun evening and it was so deliriously quiet downtown, which was such a treat. Spontaneous snow day Valentine’s Date for the win!

And the man I get to adventure with makes me the luckiest lady. He makes me laugh every day, loves me unconditionally, supports me, and balances me out perfectly. I love you so much Scott! I can’t wait to marry you!
