Weekend Travels: Chapel Hill / Durham Edition!

Here’s a bit of catch-up from this past weekend!

Friday, March 9, 2012: After a day of work, Scott and I hit the road and drove to Durham! We visited with Emily and Will for a bit before heading to bed. Here’s our sweet set-up in Emily’s apartment!

Saturday, March 10, 2012: Slept in a little bit and had a nice lazy morning with coffee and delicious waffles a la chef Emily. Om nom. Then Scott and I went to have lunch with Dad and Dean and hang out for a bit! It was a beautiful day to sit and catch up outside; had some lunch, and enjoyed good company. Then it was off to Mom’s house! Finally met her new kitty, Paplu, and spent some good time catching up. That evening we went out for dinner in Durham at Broad Street Cafe – Emily, Will, Emma, Scott, and me – and had some good beer and some delicious pizza! A busy day! Glad we got to see so many wonderful people!

Sunday, March 11, 2012: Got our breakfast fix at Breadman’s! I can’t remember the last time I’d been there! And it was Scott’s first time. It was great. Then Emily and Will went to Mass, and Mom, Scott, and I went to The Community Church Unitarian Universalist. It was wonderful! We spent a bit of time after church hanging out at Mom’s. Got to see Parker and Anna! Then we hit up Trader Joe’s for some stocking up. Golly I love that place! Headed to Emily’s to hang out for a bit before hitting the road back home to Asheville!

We had a beautiful weekend in Chapel Hill and Durham! Thank you to Emily and Will for being such wonderful hosts! It was so great to see you. As always! And it was equally delightful to be able to see all of my family too! Miss you all already!
